Battle of the Elements.
Many many years ago a group of equines discovered a land. Over the thousands of centuries the land has grown and died. It has been parted into seperate places, Territories as the stallions would call them. But they are all still a part of what was once a magical place. Now the spirits are coming alive again. Awakening from their endless slumber. The spell laid upon them from the day when the first equine settlers arrived has been broken. Those both good and bad are discovering powers they never knew existed before the turning of the earth. The elements are choosing their masters. Perhaps now those who reside here will want to learn the history of the land. Rather than just tales, twisted and changed throughout time. This is the closest to the truth you will get.
